If you're interested in partaking in news groups dedicated to the preservation of the Aircooled VW, I highly recommend you subscribe to rec.autos.makers.vw.aircooled. It is FREE and you will have some of the Top Aircooled VW Guru's at your finger tips, plus lots of Aircooled talk.
While being a short list, I have used all the above for most of my searches with great success.
